Senator spoke about the no-obligation retirement procedure for Russians

Starting from 2026, Russian citizens will be able to retire without a request. About this on February 19, Senator Olga Epifanova told "RIA Novosti".
"It is not insignificant that from 2026 the Social Fund can start assigning old-age pensions in an application-free procedure in the same way as disability pensions, insurance and social pensions for loss of breadwinner, social pensions for children, both parents of whom are unknown, are now assigned in an application-free procedure," she said.
The decision to assign a person an insurance pension in the Social Fund will be taken one month before the retirement age. In this case, the citizen will receive a notice about the state of the personal account, "the amount of the expected pension and the possibility of postponing pension payments in order to receive later increasing coefficients".
If a person decides to decide to defer the pension, a corresponding application can be submitted to the Social Fund.
"In 2026, 59-year-old women and 64-year-old men will have the right to retire on old-age pension in the presence of 15 years of service and 30 individual pension coefficients (IPK)," concluded Olga Epifanova.
Earlier, the study showed that more than half of Russians said that they want to travel in retirement. The majority of Russians, 61%, dream of traveling regularly after retirement. However, only 13% are saving some funds for the future.
