Police detained a resident of Ufa on charges of assaulting three underage girls in the apartment of one of them. This was reported on February 18 by the regional department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

"The investigative department for the Oktyabrsky district of the city of Ufa <...> charged a local resident with violating the inviolability of the home, <...> hooliganism and in the use of violence against a police officer," - said in a statement on the agency's website.

According to the investigation, on February 17, a drunken man saw the girl leaving the apartment and pushed her back home. At that moment there were two friends of the victim, who tried to kick out the accused. He responded by hitting them. The man fled after neighbors arrived to the screams.

In addition, the accused subsequently attacked police officers during the arrest.

"At present <...> initial investigative actions have been conducted, the motives for the crimes committed are being established, the question of electing <...> measure of restraint is being decided," - added in the IC.

Earlier, on February 11, unknown persons in St. Petersburg beat up a 15-year-old teenager on the street for not giving way to them. The boy was hospitalized with a suspected concussion, closed head injury and a closed fracture of the left zygomatic bone.
