The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has sent for medical examination the bodies of two dead players of the amateur soccer team "POZ-Progress" from Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region. This was reported on February 18 by Alexander Shulga, chief assistant to the head of the regional department of the agency, in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The club announced the death of 32-year-old Yan Zhuravlev and 33-year-old Danil Khilobok on February 16. Local media reported that the athletes had heart failure.

"Investigators <...> establish the circumstances of the death of the two men, as well as the causes of the incident. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to establish the exact cause of death," he said.

Earlier, on January 23, a 47-year-old man died during a boxing training session in Moscow. It was reported that he became ill during training.
