Russia has patented a new domestic sports car


The design of a domestically developed sports car has been patented in Russia. The application with images of the car has been published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS). The name of the model is not given.
As specified by "Journal Avto.ru", according to the sketches attached to the application in the sports car can be recognized project SN3500, which is being developed by the Moscow Region firm "Design Bureau 7" (aka Bureau Seven). In the images, the car is depicted without interior, roof and antifender.
It is stated that the Russian sports car Project Seven CN3500 will receive an atmospheric six-cylinder engine Toyota 2GR 3.5 liters with a capacity of 350 hp, working with a 5-speed sequential transmission from the Russian company Gear Set. Drive is rear-wheel drive. Estimated dry weight of the car is 750 kg. The vehicle is based on a space frame reinforced with carbon fiber reinforced panels, with a fiberglass body. The Halo system (similar to modern Formula 1 cars) is used as an upper protection.
On the website of the developers of the sports car it is indicated that the cost of the basic version of the car will be 7 million rubles. It is planned to produce a maximum of 12 such cars per year. Now the company is engaged in the production of a pre-production prototype. R&D was conducted from August 2023 to February 2025.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the new Russian commercial electric vehicle Sova 25 with a GVW of 2.5 tons has been allowed on public roads, the model has been certified and received Vehicle Type Approval (VTA).
