The new Sova car has been certified in Russia


The new Russian commercial electric vehicle Sova 25 with GVW of 2.5 tons has been approved for public roads, the model has passed certification and received the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA). This is stated in the report of the manufacturing company Sova Motors, which was received by Izvestia on February 18.
Sova 25 has a 5.1 cubic meter body with three-sided loading, which accommodates cargo up to 2.6 meters in length and weighing up to 1 ton. Dimensions of the model are 4490×1610×1900 mm. As the manufacturer notes, the compact size of the Sova 25 allows you to maneuver in tight yards.
The mileage of the electric car on a single charge is more than 200 km. It will take half an hour to replenish the charge for 100 km of travel. Engine power is 81.6 hp, maximum speed is 90 km/h. The electric car is promised free maintenance for three years or up to 150 thousand kilometers of mileage. As stated on the company's website, the price of Sova 25 is 4.5 million rubles.
The development of Sova 25 was conducted with the involvement of companies participating in the delivery market and takes into account the peculiarities of operation in the Russian climate. Production of electric vehicles is located in the special economic zone "Alabuga".
The day before it was reported that in the first half of 2025 in Russia is planned to start sales of a new pickup Sinotruk Bolden S6. In the model lineup, the more utilitarian model will join the "urban" version of the Bolden S7, which was announced earlier.
On February 14, JAC announced that it is going to localize cars in Russia. One of the first models to be assembled in the country will be the T9 pickup truck. It is planned that the first localized cars will appear this summer.
