Cuba criticized U.S. politicians of Cuban origin

Cuba is not expecting anything good from the American politicians of Cuban origin in the White House. The Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba reported on February 18 on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"We can expect nothing good from a group of American politicians of Cuban origin, once again so close to power in the White House," TASS quoted their message as saying.

According to the agency, the politicians have managed to line their pockets thanks to "business against Cuba."

Earlier, on January 21, US President Donald Trump returned Cuba to the list of countries - sponsors of terrorism. The Wall Street Journal reported that the removal from the list under Biden was part of a deal in which Cuba was to release 553 political prisoners. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez called Trump's decision to put Havana back on the list a disregard for the truth on his X social media page (formerly Twitter), Gazeta.Ru reported.

Before that, on December 18, 2024, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia was in favor of lifting the US embargo on Cuba.
