Cars of 2025 model year started to arrive to dealers in Russia

Cars of 2025 year of production of a number of brands have already started to arrive in dealerships. This was reported by the general director of GC "AutoSpecCenter" Andrey Terlyukevich, reports the analytical agency "Avtostat" on February 17.

According to him, in the mass segment prices have not changed much compared to December, but further dynamics will depend on the key rate, which increases the costs of all market participants through the cost of financing.

Andrei Olkhovsky, General Director of Avtodom Group of Companies, suggested that taking into account the stagnation of the Chinese market it is likely that new models will be 3-5% more expensive, while the current models may become cheaper.

In his turn, Nikolay Ivanov, Director of New Cars Department of Rolf Company, noted that the majority of cars of 2025 model year, which were delivered to dealers in February, are locally assembled cars. Depending on the exchange rate and inflation rate, the price increase for new cars this year will amount to a maximum of 10%, if there are no sudden and unexpected jumps in the economy.

However, experts predict a general increase in prices in the car market

Earlier in the day it was reported that at the end of January 2025, the average cost of cars with mileage from dealers decreased for the month by 2%, to 1.96 million rubles, but at private sellers prices continue to rise - the average cost of such cars on classifides increased by 3% compared to December and amounted to 1.29 million rubles.

On February 15, it became known that the average price of a new car in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia at the end of January 2025 amounted to 3.2 million rubles. It turned out that the interest in this class of cars among Russians increased by 48.4% compared to January 2024.
