The Russian Ministry of Education is working on legislative initiatives to stop bullying in schools. This was reported on February 16 by Larisa Falkovskaya, Director of the Department of State Policy for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry, at a meeting of the All-Russian Parents' Committee at the Mashuk Knowledge Center.

She noted that any manifestation of aggression should be stopped instantly, whether it is in the direction of teachers or students.

At the same time, according to Falkovskaya, the ministry is developing the plan not in terms of accusation or punishment, but from the side of effective mechanisms of help and support.

"We, together with the Saratov State Law Academy, have prepared such a checklist on measures of legal responsibility related to bullying. We will be ready to the director of the Artek International Children's Center Konstantin Albertovich [Fedorenko] to transfer all this to the All-Russian Parents' Committee, colleagues of the society "Znanie", because we have verified all this material", - said Falkovskaya, her words are transmitted by TASS.

In January it was reported that Vladislav Davankov, deputy speaker of the Russian State Duma, appealed to the Russian Ministry of Labor with a proposal to allow minors to change their names because of bullying even without parental permission.

According to the deputy, children with unusual or rare names often face bullying at school. Meanwhile, in recent years there has been a tendency to give children non-trivial names that are not formally prohibited by law.
