- Lithuanian Foreign Minister calls Ukraine's support the reason for draining Europe's reserves

European reserves have been emptied due to support for Ukraine amid the conflict. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said this on 14 February.
He noted that in Europe wondered about the lack of increase in production of defense industry,
"Supporting Ukraine has shown everyone that our reserves are half empty. Now they are empty because of Ukraine's support, and we have to fill them," he said in an interview with El Mundo newspaper.
The Lithuanian foreign minister emphasized the need to replenish the reserves, but it is impossible to carry out this process without money. Budrys said that "it would be unproductive to reduce the debate" to the question of whether the U.S. administration demands something from Europe.
French politician and leader of the Patriots party Florian Philippot said on 7 February that Europe should stop supplying military and financial aid to Ukraine because further support could turn against them.
