Expert talks about helping people with disabilities with repairs

People with disabilities can get help both in organizing the repair of residential premises and during its implementation. This was told to "Izvestia" on February 15 by Fyodor Vasiliev, construction expert, founder and CEO of Glavnab.

"A person with a disability can receive assistance in carrying out repairs in accordance with Russian government decree No. 1236 "On the list of social services", which enshrines such a type of support as organizing assistance in carrying out repairs of residential premises," the expert explained.

According to him, such assistance is provided at the regional and local levels. For example, in Yaroslavl, a person with a disability will be helped if it is necessary to find someone who will make repairs in the apartment, and will also help to conclude a contract with the contractor and take control of the timing and quality of repairs.

The specialist noted that for this purpose it is necessary to submit an application, attaching to it all necessary certificates and documents, to the center of social support at the place of residence in person or by mail, or through the MFC.
