Powerful indexation of pensions for the disabled: by how much will be raised for groups I, II, III

Every year, Russia indexes pensions and monthly cash payments (MCP) to disabled persons of groups I, II and III, and increases other financial assistance to vulnerable categories of the population. In 2025, indexation will take place in several stages. In January, insurance pensions of disabled people were increased, in February their additional indexation and increase of UDV will take place, in April social pensions of disabled people will be traditionally increased. Indexation of pensions for disabled people of I, II, III groups: how much will be raised

On January 1, insurance pensions for old age and disability, as well as payments to survivors were increased by 7.3%. According to the decision of the government in February, these payments will be further indexed by 2.22% in accordance with inflation. At the same time, pensioners will receive additional payment for January.

According to the SFD, from January 1, 2025, the size of the fixed payment to the insurance pension for disability is:

- 18,745.06 rubles - for disability of group I,
- 8728.73 rubles - for disability of group II,
- 4,364.37 rubles - for disability of group III.

Social pension: when the next increase

Social pensions for disabled people will be increased by 14.75% from April 1, 2025.

Recall, in the complete absence of an insurance record, disabled persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation, including disabled children, receive a social disability pension.

Pension indexation in February: by how much payments will be raised

They will be increased up to the actual inflation rate

From April 1, 2025, without taking into account regional coefficients, the amount of payment will be:

- 21,177.59 rubles for disabled persons from childhood of group I and disabled children,
- for disabled persons of group I - 17,748.24 roubles,
- 17,748.24 rubles for persons disabled from childhood of group II,
- for disabled persons of group II - 8,824.1 rubles,
- for disabled persons of group III - 7,500.53 roubles.

At the same time, the social pension may not be lower than the subsistence minimum. In this case, a social supplement is appointed.

Recall, from January 1, the subsistence minimum was increased by 14.48% and amounted to 17,733 rubles. For able-bodied citizens - Br19,329, for pensioners - Br15,250, for children - Br17,201.

After indexation on April 1, 2025, the size of the social pension will amount to Br15,456.

In addition to the indexation of pensions, many citizens from February will receive an increase in certain social payments. For example, the monthly cash payment (MCP), which is received by disabled people of all groups, veterans of combat operations, Chernobyl veterans, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Heroes of the Russian Federation and the USSR, Heroes of Labor and some other Russians.

Together with the monthly cash payment, the Social Fund will index the cost of a set of social services, consisting of free medicines and medical products, as well as vouchers to a sanatorium or travel on suburban electric trains. A UDV recipient may partially or completely refuse the service and replace it with monetary compensation.

Also, from October 1, 2025, the annual indexation of pensions of persons dismissed from military and equivalent service is planned, it will be made at the inflation rate.
