Popular gifts on romantic dates have been named

Women are more likely to expect gifts on a date. Among the surveyed men, 38% of respondents usually bring flowers to a meeting, 16% come without a gift, and 25% give something only in honor of a holiday. About 11% have candy, and 10% - jewelry. This is stated in the results of a study of experts of the wallet "UMoneu" and analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD", which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on February 13.

In addition, it turned out that 43% of Russian women go on a date without a gift, and 37% make gifts exclusively on holidays. Only 20% of the survey participants said that they usually give their date a souvenir or a small gift.

Cafes, bars and restaurants were named among the most popular places for dates: they are chosen by 52% of men and 45% of women. Meetings at home or at a partner's home are preferred by 26% of men and 23% of women, walks in the park are popular among 12% of men and 18% of women. Next in the rating are cinemas (they are chosen by 5% of men and 8% of women), theaters (3% each) and museums (2% of men and 3% of women).

Experts found out that the majority of the stronger sex (58%) prefer to pay for themselves and their companion on a date. According to 18% of survey participants, the payment of the bill depends on the occasion, another 10% of men split the bill in half, and 8% think that the one who invites should pay. And only 6% think that a woman should pay.

Almost half of Russian women (47%) expressed the opinion that a man should assume all the expenses on a date. One third of the survey participants believe that the payment of the bill depends on the situation, and in the opinion of 10%, the one who invited should pay. Only 7% of female respondents are ready to split the bill for two, and 3% can pay everything themselves. Another 2% noted that a man should pay not only for dinner and entertainment, but also for transportation.

At the same time, 60% of surveyed men and 32% of women said that they usually initiate meetings themselves. One third of men noted that the initiative depends on the occasion, and 10% said that girls call them for a date. At the same time, 48% of female respondents said that they go on romantic meetings only at the invitation of their partner. Another 20% agreed that an important role is played by the occasion.

According to experts, to get ready for a date, a man will spend an average of 7952 rubles - including fees (dry cleaning), a gift, a bouquet of flowers and cab fare, but not including the bill in a cafe or restaurant. A woman will spend an average of 5565 rubles on the preparations before a date, which includes a beauty salon, manicure, preparation of an outfit. If we take into account the cost of dinner at a restaurant, the cost of a date for a man can be twice as high as for a woman.

Earlier, on February 12, it was reported that the majority of surveyed Russians (54%) spend February 14 in the usual rhythm: work, home, TV series. At the same time, 22% of girls please themselves with pleasant trifles - shopping or sweets, and 15% of men actively use dating apps in search of a companion.
