Russians bought a record number of used motorcycles over the year

At the end of last year, sales of used motorcycles in Russia set a new record. In 2024, 113.6 thousand used motorcycles were sold, which is 10% more than a year earlier. The market broke the mark of 100 thousand units for the second year in a row, according to the analytical agency Avtostat on February 12.

More than half (54%) of all purchased used motorcycles were four Japanese brands - Honda (24.1 thousand units), Yamaha (17.3 thousand units), Suzuki (10.6 thousand units) and Kawasaki (9.9 thousand units). BMW brand (9 thou. units) also entered the top five.

Honda CBR is the leader in the model rating with the result of 5 thousand copies purchased. The second place is occupied by Honda CB (4.3 thousand units). The top five also included Yamaha XVS (2.4 thousand units), Suzuki GSX (2.3 thousand units) and Yamaha YZF (2.1 thousand units).

According to analysts, last year the number of ads for the sale of new motorcycles year-on-year increased by 2.5 times, and interest - by 55.1%. The total number of ads for the sale of bikes on the platform increased almost one and a half times, by 46.6%.
