NBC News has learned of Trump's order to compile a list of new FBI hires

The administration of US President Donald Trump has asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to compile a list of probationary employees, raising fears of new layoffs in the bureau. NBC News reported on February 11.
"The Trump administration has requested from the FBI a list of employees with a probationary period", - stated in the material of the TV channel.
It is specified that for all employees whose length of service does not exceed two years, individual requests are required with justifications for retaining them in the bureau.
According to the channel, this request is a continuation of the attempts of the Trump administration to find out the names of those employees who worked on the case of storming the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
Earlier, on February 7, it became known that Trump announced the intention of his administration to carry out a number of dismissals in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, concerning employees who participated in the investigation of the attack on the Capitol. On February 6, the American leader sent a letter of dismissal to Ellen Weintraub, the Chairman of the US Elections Commission (FEC). It said that the decision to fire her was effective immediately.
On the same day, it was reported that the Trump administration intends to fire thousands of employees of the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington.
At the same time it became known that more than 60 thousand federal officials of America have already accepted the proposal of the US President on voluntary dismissal with payment of benefits, despite the deadline. At the same time, the court in the United States temporarily blocked Trump's initiative on layoffs with compensation.
