A civilian was injured after an AFU drone drop in Kursk region


A 33-year-old civilian woman was injured after an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) was dropped in Kursk Region. This was reported on February 10 by Alexander Khinshtein, the region's acting governor, in his Telegram channel.
"At night, a 33-year-old resident of the village of Maly Kamenets in Bolshesoldatsky district suffered as a result of a UAV drop. She received shrapnel wounds of medium severity," - stated in the message.
It is specified that the Russian military transported the injured woman to the hospital, where she is receiving all the necessary care.
According to the Vice Governor of the region, her life is not threatened.
Earlier, on February 7, the acting head of Kursk region reported that a local resident stepped on an explosive device in one of the villages of Rylsk district. The resident with a serious foot injury was taken to a medical facility.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
