Nine houses were damaged by AFU shelling in Kursk region


As a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the village of Slobodka in Kursk Region, nine private houses were damaged. This was reported on February 9 by Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of the region.
"As a result of the AFU shelling in the Rylsky district of the village of Slobodka nine private residences were damaged, there are broken windows and damaged roofing, the communal infrastructure was not affected," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Hinshtein added that the head of the Rylsk district Andrei Belousov had traveled to the scene on his instructions. He personally made sure that there were no victims. At the moment, work is being carried out to restore the glass and roofing of houses.
Earlier, February 7, the deputy head of Kursk region reported that a local resident stepped on an explosive device in one of the villages of Rylsk district. The resident with a serious foot injury was taken to a medical facility.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
