A bill to increase military pensions by the inflation rate has been introduced in the State Duma

The Russian State Duma has introduced a bill to increase military pensions by the inflation rate. This is evidenced by a document published in the Duma electronic base on February 8.

"The bill proposes to increase the amount of allowance taken into account in the calculation of pensions <...> from January 1, 2025 to 93.59% of the amount of the specified allowance," - stated in the explanatory note to the bill.

It is noted that the actual inflation rate for 2024 amounted to 9.5%. In this regard, to increase pensions to those who served in the military and members of their families, it is necessary to increase it by this indicator.

Social pensions for disabled people will increase by 14.75% from April 1, 2025

Before that, on February 6, the Russian government reported on the additional indexation of military pensions by 4.4%. In addition, to the already made payments for the first two months of this year will be added.

Earlier, on February 1, Russian pensioners began to receive insurance pensions, which were indexed to the actual inflation rate of 9.5%.
