An infantryman told details of the AFU counterattack in the border area of the Kursk region

An officer of the 810 Marine Brigade under the call sign Botsman told Izvestia on February 7 details of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) thwarted counterattack on the recently lost villages of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok in the Kursk border region.

"At first, German engineer vehicles were coming, also a tank was coming. Accordingly, the equipment was wheeled, as well as caterpillar. Basically they were armored vehicles of the type "Cossack", which carried a troop of up to 10 people each," he informed.

According to Botsman, the AFU moved in different columns in order to expand its zone of control in the Sujansky district, to come to the rear of the Russian army and cut off its units, which had successfully crossed the river and are making a fairly successful advance there.

"That is, they tried to solve three tasks. So far they have solved only one - they have reduced the number of their personnel and equipment," the serviceman noted.

Botsman also said that now the remnants of Ukrainian servicemen trained by the best NATO specialists are trying to save themselves by hiding in forested areas.

"No matter how many of their reserves they throw here - we will burn everyone out," he concluded.

On this day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the AFU lost more than 200 men during an attempted counteroffensive in the Kursk region. It was specified that since the morning of February 6, the AFU had launched eight waves of attacks in this direction, all of which were repulsed.

The Defense Ministry showed footage of the reflection of AFU vehicles in the area of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanka in the Kursk region. Fighting vehicles of the Ukrainian army managed to destroy with the help of FPV drones.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
