Russia will additionally index military pensions by 4.4% from January 1, 2025. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with the government on February 6.
"On the instructions of the President [of Russia Vladimir Putin], adjustments to the law on additional increase of military pensions by another 4.4% from January 1, 2025 have been prepared," Mishustin noted.
He also clarified that the necessary funding is provided for the fulfillment of social obligations to citizens.
In addition, to the already made payments for the first two months of this year will be charged a surcharge.
The day before it was reported that all Russians who are paid an insurance pension, will receive an increased by 9.5% payment until February 25. It was noted that pensions will arrive in people's accounts according to the date set for each.
Earlier, on February 1, Russian pensioners began to receive insurance pensions, which were indexed to the actual inflation rate of 9.5%. The cost of one pension coefficient for people who will retire in 2025 will be up to 145.7 rubles. At the same time, the size of the fixed payment to the old-age insurance pension will be up to Br8907.7.
Before that, on January 28, Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin reported that pensioners, who in December 2024 celebrated their 80th anniversary, will receive a bonus to payments for January and February. According to him, in January, the insurance pension increased by 7.3% and amounted to Br38,359.75. In addition, a doubled fixed payment of 8728.73 rubles and an additional payment of 1287.60 rubles, which from 2025 is assigned to the disabled of group I or citizens who have reached the age of 80, were also accrued.
