Pensioners in Russia will receive additional indexed pensions by February 25

All Russians who are paid an insurance pension will receive a 9.5% increase in the payment by February 25. Yekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, told TASS on February 5.

"If the pension is brought to the house, then pensioners will see their already-indexed pension and additional indexation for January from February 3 to February 25," she said.

Stenyakina added that the first transfers to pensioners receiving payments to bank cards have already started on February 1. According to her, pensions will arrive on people's accounts according to the date set for each.

"Therefore, until February 25, our pensioners will receive indexed pensions for February and additional indexation for January in accordance with the schedule," she concluded.

Earlier, on February 1, Russian pensioners began receiving insurance pensions, which were indexed to the actual inflation rate of 9.5%. The cost of one pension coefficient for people who will retire in 2025 will be up to 145.7 rubles. At the same time, the size of the fixed payment to the old-age insurance pension will be up to Br8907.7.

Before that, on January 28, Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin reported that pensioners, who in December 2024 celebrated their 80th anniversary, will receive a bonus to payments for January and February. According to him, in January, the insurance pension increased by 7.3% and amounted to Br38,359.75. In addition, a doubled fixed payment of 8,728.73 rubles and an additional payment of 1,287.60 rubles, which from 2025 is assigned to the disabled of group I or citizens who have reached the age of 80 years, were also accrued.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on January 27 that the Russian government will index more than 40 different social payments and benefits by 9.5% from February 1. Among them are those entitled to people with disabilities of all three groups, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and combat operations, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of Labor.
