The military prosecutor's office of the Moscow Military District has approved the indictment in the criminal case against the commander of the 383rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Colonel Andriy Dzyaniya, and senior navigator Colonel Serhiy Burdenyuk. This was reported by the press service of the ministry on February 4.

It is specified that the Ukrainian military are charged under Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Committing by an organized group of a terrorist act, resulting in other grave consequences") and paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act resulting in the death of a person").

According to the investigation, on the instructions of these individuals, four terrorist attacks on airfields in the Kaluga, Ryazan and Saratava regions were carried out between October and December 2022.

"Since Dzyanyi and Burdenyuk escaped from the investigation and court outside the Russian Federation, they were put on international wanted list on August 2, 2023 and November 29, 2024, respectively," the agency said in a statement.

The military court elected a measure of restraint in absentia for Burdenyuk and Dzyania in the form of arrest.

On the same day, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia elected a measure of restraint for a Ukrainian serviceman involved in the murder of a civilian in the village of Russkoe Porechnoye, Kursk region. It is specified that the defendant fully admitted guilt. He was taken into custody.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
