Armen Sargsyan, the founder of the ArBat battalion and president of the Boxing Federation of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), who was killed after the explosion in the Alye Parusa housing estate in Moscow, received frequent threats and phone calls from Ukraine. This was reported by a source of Izvestia on February 3.
"Often he was threatened, called from Ukraine, demanded that he go back there to fight for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), he sent them away," the interlocutor said.
He added that shortly before the explosion, Sarkisyan had been under surveillance. Thus, a day before the incident, the deceased noticed two unknown men who were tracking him near the bathhouse.
"The guards noticed two guys on an old car, Sarkisyan said that he had seen them a long time ago, realized that he was being followed. But those noticed that the guards paid attention to them, went to the bar, drank coffee and left," the source added.
Theexplosion in the housing estate "Scarlet Sails" in Moscow occurred earlierin the day. As a result, two people were killed, including Armen Sarkisyan. The Interior Ministry also reported several injured. According to Izvestiya's source, two of the victims have open fractures of the shin, while another has shrapnel wounds to the head. Later, the media reported that rescuers and firefighters had completed work at the site of the explosion.
A criminal case has been opened over the incident. The Izvestiya interlocutor specified that a grenade could have exploded in the hall of one of the houses.
