On February 3, the Russian government supported a bill to toughen penalties for failure to notify military commissions about the fact of relocation.

The author of the amendments is the head of the State Duma (GD) Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov, the amendments want to make to the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) of the Russian Federation.

The bill proposes to strengthen penalties, but the updated amount of the fine is not specified. At the same time, the review noted that the project "does not fully comply with the law "On military duty and military service".

"The Government of the Russian Federation supports the bill subject to its finalization taking into account the specified comments", - follows from the text of the document, available at the disposal of "RIA Novosti".

At the moment, the penalty provides for an administrative fine of 1 to 5 thousand rubles. In addition to the notification of moving to a new place of residence, Russians are obliged to notify of any changes regarding marital status, education, place of work or position, as well as information about moving to a new place of residence.

Earlier, on January 24, the State Duma introduced a bill that provides for the exemption of special operations volunteers from conscription into the army. The authors of the initiative noted that now the norms on exemption from conscription do not apply to the participants of volunteer formations.
