A man who damaged more than 20 cars during a night walk in a drunken state has been arrested in Moscow. As reported by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office on February 1, charges have been brought against him under Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional damage to other people's property").

It is noted that the accident occurred on January 29 in the Strogino district. In the morning, having gone to the yard, motorists found that their parked cars were damaged: the bodies were crumpled, mirrors were torn off, windows were broken. The police managed to establish the identity of the 30-year-old suspect.

"The man did not deny, admitted guilt, explaining that he was drunk. With statements have already applied 26 victims, the damage from the actions of the attacker may exceed 350 thousand rubles", - noted in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

Before that, on January 4, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk reported that the Moscow police detained a gang that was engaged in car theft. Attackers "specialized" in stealing cars of Korean and Japanese production. The damage from their actions amounted to about 43 million rubles. A criminal case has been instituted, all the detainees had previous convictions. The police are searching for the stolen cars.
