Trump's son proposed opening Alcatraz to illegal immigrants

The eldest son of US President Donald Trump supported the idea of reopening the Alcatraz prison. He wrote about this on December 30 in his account in the social network X (former Twitter).
So Trump Jr. commented on a news post by a user of the social network, which claimed that Trump would sign an executive order to prepare up to 30 thousand places in the Guantanamo Bay prison for criminals from among illegal migrants.
"Great idea. Maybe we should still reopen Alcatraz?" - he wrote.
Before that, on January 28, The New York Post reported about the beginning of the first large-scale raids against migrants in New York. It was specified that the target of arrests were migrants suspected of committing serious crimes. At the same time it became known that the U.S. immigration service made about 1.2 thousand arrests in one day, and almost half of the detainees have no criminal record.
Previously, on January 20, immediately after the inauguration, Trump signed more than 200 new decrees. Among them, the introduction of a state of emergency on the border with Mexico. In addition, the American president repeatedly stated that he was going to cancel the granting of American citizenship by birthright.
