The Ministry of Labor named the maximum unemployment benefit amount since February

February 1, after the indexation of unemployment benefits by 9.5%, the maximum amount of payment will amount to more than Br15 thousand. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection on January 30.

"From February 1, we will index by 9.5%. The maximum amount will be more than 15 thousand rubles," - quotes the agency TASS.

It is noted that in total from February 1 this year on 9.5% will be indexed more than 40 social payments.

Earlier, January 9, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab said that many social payments will be increased this year. Thus, additional amounts will be distributed to the regions to increase the birth rate. According to Bessarab, all already existing measures of social support will continue to work.

Before that, on December 4, 2024, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin decided to index Moscow social payments. So, from January 1, 2025 social payments to Muscovites were increased by 5.5%. The minimum pension with the city supplement will amount to 25,850 rubles per month.
