A doctor has named the habits that lead to premature aging

Cosmetologist, dermatologist of "SM-Cosmetology" Svetlana Krasnova on Wednesday, January 29, spoke about habits that lead to premature aging.
According to her, excess carbohydrates and sugar in the diet damages collagen and elastin, causing skin laxity. In addition, alcohol and smoking impair the blood supply to the skin, leading to oxygen deprivation, couperosis and swelling, contributing to premature aging.
Cosmetologist noted that insufficient water intake leads to dehydration and slow metabolism, which negatively affects the skin. It is recommended to drink 1.5-2 liters of water a day to maintain healthy and glowing skin.
"It is also worth mentioning the lack of sleep. Poor sleep quality accelerates skin aging by preventing it from recovering from the effects of environmental stressors. Falling asleep before 22:00 is one of the most important factors that improve the overall condition of the body," Gazeta.Ru quoted her as saying.
The doctor warned that sleeping with makeup on the face clogs pores, makes the skin rough and provokes wrinkles, and washing with regular soap dries out the skin and damages its protective barrier. Therefore, it is important to always wash off your makeup and use the right cleanser.
Krasnova also stated that lack of sun protection causes skin damage, provoking photo-aging, wrinkles and pigmentation, so it is necessary to use products with SPF-protection every day.
Earlier, on December 19, 2024, Daria Khaykina, endocrinologist, nutritionist of SM-Klinika told Izvestia that sugar, fast food, margarine, cookies lead to premature aging. She noted that another product, or rather drink, that is harmful to the skin is alcohol, because it dehydrates the body, which leads to loss of skin elasticity and wrinkles.
