A Boeing 737-700 airplane of the Colombian Aerospace Forces (FAC) has delivered the first group of citizens of the republic deported from the United States. This was reported by the newspaper El Tiempo on Tuesday, January 28.

According to the publication, the vessel landed in Bogotá earlier in the day. On board the liner were 95 of 205 illegal migrants subject to deportation from the U.S. at the moment.

Then the passengers were taken by buses to El Dorado International Airport for processing documents at the Colombian Migration Service.

It is noted that the next plane of the Colombian Air Force will land in the capital within a few hours.

Earlier, on January 27, it was reported that Customs and Border Protection (ICE) in the United States was instructed to increase the number of those detained for violation of migration laws to at least 1,200-1,500 people per day. The next day, it was reported that the US immigration service made about 1, 200 arrests in one day, and almost half of the detainees have no criminal record.

Before that, on January 25, it was reported that in the U.S. state of Mississippi offered to pay $1 thousand for each successful deportation of an illegal alien. On the same day, it was reported that the number of illegal aliens crossing the southern border in the United States sharply decreased during the first days of the Trump administration.
