The Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Belarus (RB) plans to summarize the results of elections in the country on February 3. This was reported in the agency on Sunday, January 29.

"The turnout of citizens at the presidential election in the Republic of Belarus amounted to 85.70% of the total number of those included in the voting lists," also specified in the Telegram-channel of the Commission.

The oldest voter in the election was 120 years old. It is reported that the woman voted at home.

Earlier in the day, international observers noted the transparency of presidential elections in Belarus. The purity of the voting process was confirmed by more than 4 thousand international observers, who worked at polling stations across the country.

Polling stations for the main voting in the presidential election in Belarus opened throughout the country on January 26 at 8:00. The turnout at 12:00 was 56.64%, so they can be recognized as valid. At 20:00 the voting ended. The CEC noted that over 6.9 million citizens had the opportunity to vote at more than 5.3 thousand polling stations. As of 18:00 Moscow time, the voter turnout amounted to 81.5%. Of these, 41.81% voted early in the period from January 21 to 25.
