Yura Borisov will play in Kusturica's movie based on Dostoevsky's novel

Serbian film director Emir Kusturica announced on February 25 at the festival "Kustendorf" that Yura Borisov will play a role in his new film "How I didn't make "Crime and Punishment".

He noted that the events of the film not only reflect his own experience, but also relate to the conflicts presented in the work.

The director also expressed admiration for Borisov's work in other films.

Borisov, for his part, said that he grew up on Kusturica's motion pictures.

Earlier, November 13, 2024, Kusturica in the New Media Forum, answering the question of "Izvestia", predicted the film based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" the status of his best work. He emphasized that it would be an interpretation of the work.
