The first planes carrying illegal migrants arrived from the U.S. to Guatemala

The first deported migrants arrived in Guatemala on two airplanes from the United States. The Guatemalan Institute of Migration (IGM) reported on January 24.
"Eighty Guatemalans returned: 31 women, 48 men and one unaccompanied teenager. These people were registered, they received food, clothing, hygiene kits, in some cases psychological support and access to phone calls," the agency said in a statement.
The returnees were provided with accommodation at a migrant assistance center as they could not get to their homes due to the timing of their arrival.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump said that the deportation of illegal migrants from the country was going well. The leader of the United States noted that criminals were being expelled first.
A day earlier, on January 23, Fox News, citing interlocutors in the Department of Homeland Security, said that the number of crossings of the southern border by illegal migrants in the United States has sharply decreased in the first days of the administration of President Donald Trump.
Fox News said then that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement apprehended more than 460 undocumented migrants in the first days of Donald Trump's presidency, including those with convictions for sexual and domestic violence, as well as drug and weapons offenses.
The day before, Trump restricted the right of illegal migrants who entered the U.S. through the southern border. The US President authorized and directed the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of State to take all necessary measures to immediately repel the entry, repatriate and remove illegal immigrants across the country's southern border.
