D-30 122-mm guns hit an AFU stronghold in the Kursk border area
Nomadic gun crews of artillery paratroopers from Ulan-Ude have hit a stronghold with an infantry unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border areas of the Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 24.
Reconnaissance with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) detected an equipped stronghold with infantry of the AFU in one of the occupied settlements.
After the calculation of the "itinerant" 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer artillery gun of the howitzer artillery division of the separate Guards Airborne Forces unit from Ulan-Ude promptly moved to the specified area, deployed in a firing position and hit the AFU stronghold with fluent corrective fire.
Control and correction of the hit targets were carried out by UAV calculations.
"Now the dynamics is less, they are a little out of breath, or something. We make strong roll-ups, we go forward, the enemy is exhausted by this. Now it's easier for us, it's easier for us, it's hard for him. Now we are going forward without stopping," said the commander of the firing platoon with the call sign Kuba.
Earlier, on January 22, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of objective control of the destruction of an AFU tank by the calculation of the Lancet barrage munition of the "North" group of troops in the border area of Kursk region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
