Israel has expressed its desire to transfer Russian-made weapons to Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian embassy in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, December 21.

"During the meeting, the ambassador thanked the interlocutor for her voiced proposal to transfer to Ukraine Russian-made weapons seized by [the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)]," reads the Facebook post (owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

According to the diplomatic mission, such an initiative by Tel Aviv is an important step in recognizing "common threats."

Earlier, on December 4, 2024, Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said in an interview with Izvestia that Israel was not discussing the transfer to Ukraine of Russian weapons seized by the Israeli military from Hezbollah and Hamas.
