A couple was injured when an AFU drone attacked a car in Belgorod region
A married couple was injured in Belgorod Region when a Ukrainian drone attacked a moving car. This was reported by the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on January 21.
It is specified that the incident occurred on a section of the road Yasniye Zori - Cheremoshnoye.
"Two are wounded - a man in serious condition with multiple shrapnel wounds to the legs and his wife, who received a shrapnel wound to the arm," he wrote in Telegram-channel.
According to the governor, the couple was taken to the hospital, where they received first aid.
Information about the consequences of the Ukrainian attack is being clarified, Gladkov said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) destroyed 55 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Russian regions overnight.
On January 16, a resident of Belgorod Region suffered as a result of a strike by the Ukrainian army. In the village of Belovskoye, windows were smashed and facades of two private houses were slashed, and a garage was damaged on the territory of one household. Shrapnel also damaged five cars.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
