Air defense forces have destroyed two drones over the Kaluga region. This was reported by the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha on January 19.

"Air defense forces destroyed two UAVs tonight. One on the outskirts of Kaluga and one on the territory of the Peremyshlsky district," the message in his Telegram channel reads.

Shapsha specified that, tentatively, there are no casualties and damage. Operational groups are working on the site.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz , reported the destruction of 11 UAVs over the region. According to him, there are no casualties and damage as a result of the attack. Operational and emergency services are working on the site.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
