Russian air defenses have destroyed three Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and Crimea. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 18.

"On-duty air defense means destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: two - over the waters of the Black Sea and one - over the territory of the Republic of Crimea," the report said.

The attacks were repelled between 19:00 and 20:00 Moscow time, the ministry added.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces overnight destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones over six regions of Russia. Thus, 18 drones were eliminated over the Bryansk region, 11 - over the Kursk region, seven - over the Kaluga region, five - over the Tula region, three - over the Belgorod region and two - over the Voronezh region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
