Private houses in two Belgorod villages damaged after UAV attack
The Ukrainian military launched drone strikes on the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod Region, resulting in damage to private houses. This was reported by the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on January 18.
He specified that as a result of the attack, tentatively, no one was injured.
"In the village of Murom FPV-drone attacked a residential house - the glazing was blown out, a farm building was damaged <...>. Another drone attack occurred in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka - the roof and window of a private house, as well as a passenger car were damaged," the head of the region wrote in his Telegram channel.
Gladkov added that in Murom the drone also hit a fence and broke through the roof of neighboring houses.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight over six Russian regions. Of these, two drones were shot down over the Belgorod region.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
