Air defense forces destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight over six Russian regions

The air defense forces have destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight over six Russian regions. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on January 18.

"During the past night on-duty air defense means intercepted and destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones," - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It is specified that 18 drones were eliminated over the Bryansk region, 11 - over the Kursk region, seven - over the Kaluga region, five - over the Tula region, three - over the Belgorod region and two - over the Voronezh region.

Earlier in the day, Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev reported the elimination of five UAVs over the region. He also specified that there is a danger of repeated UAV strikes in the region. According to the governor, the situation is under control.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
