Law enforcement agencies have charged two new defendants in the criminal case of the murder of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces in Moscow, with committing a terrorist act by an organized group. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia on January 16.

It is specified that Batukhan Tochiev and Ramazan Padiev are charged with committing a terrorist act by an organized group.

"Before the court petitions have been filed to elect a measure of restraint in the form of detention," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the agency.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia establish the customers and organizers of the terrorist attack, as well as those involved in the commission of the crime.

Earlier, January 13, in Ingushetia detained Tochiev and Padiev, members of the Batalhadzhin terrorist organization (banned in Russia), involved in the attack on Kirillov. On the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine, the men provided an apartment and transportation for the perpetrators of the terrorist act against the military officer.

Before that, in December, it was reported that law enforcement agencies detained four members of the Batalhajin terrorist organization, who helped to hide one of the criminals who supplied weapons to the militants for the terrorist attack in the "Crocus City Hall".

Kirillov and his assistant were killed on the morning of December 17, 2024 as a result of detonation of an explosive device that was placed in a scooter near the entrance of an apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow.
