CBC reported on the date of the G7 summit

The summit of the "G7" countries (G7), which is to be held in the Canadian resort area Kananaskis in the province of Alberta, will be held on June 15-17. This was reported by Canadian television channel CBC on January 13.
"The 2025 event will bring together leaders from the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Britain, Italy and Canada, as well as the European Union and will be held from June 15 to 17," the publication said.
It is noted that the officials responsible for organizing the summit have not yet provided other details.
Earlier, December 14, 2024, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the leaders of the G7 countries should increase pressure on Russia. He called for increased economic pressure on Russia, "including through additional sanctions where possible."
Western countries have tightened sanctions pressure on Russia in connection with the special operation to protect Donbass. The decision to launch it was announced on February 24, 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
