The expert predicted the ruble exchange rate until the end of this week
By the end of the current week, the dollar will be within Br98-103, euro - Br101-106, yuan - Br13.4-14, believes the head of the department of research and investment strategies of Alfa-Forex, Spartak Sobolev. He told "Izvestia" on January 9.
According to the Russian Central Bank, on December 29, 2024, the U.S. currency was at 101.68 rubles, the European currency - 106.1, the Chinese currency - 13.427 rubles. According to Mosbirzhi, the yuan is trading around 13.669 rubles.
The expert noted that trading activity after the New Year vacations is low.
"On the part of external factors to support the ruble, we can note the positive dynamics of oil prices. Until the end of the first working week, we expect continued fluctuation of quotes within the range of 98-103 rubles per dollar, 101-106 rubles per euro and 13.4-14 rubles per yuan," said Sobolev.
Earlier, in early December 2024, the head of Sberbank German Gref said that there is no room for a serious weakening of the ruble. In his opinion, the dollar rate at the end of 2025 will be approximately 112-115 rubles. At the same time, he admitted that some weakening of the national currency is indeed present, but no surprises are expected: the rate will fluctuate depending on the situation.
