US journalist Kyle Becker has compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose powers expire on 20 May 2024, with outgoing US President Joe Biden because of his answers in an interview with blogger Lex Friedman. The journalist wrote about it on January 6 in his social network X (former Twitter).

"Zelensky, as usual, is scattered in his answers. One gets the feeling that he is as 'presidential' as Biden was for the United States," the journalist wrote.

He added that US President-elect Donald Trump will have to rebuild a diplomatic team of wise politicians and that it is finally time for peace.

On January 6, in an interview with American journalist Friedman, Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready to resolve the conflict, but on the condition that NATO provides guarantees in the territories controlled by Kiev. The Ukrainian president added that if any agreements on the conflict are concluded, Ukraine will need additional guarantees of state security.

Also in the interview, the Ukrainian president said that Kiev was ready to hold talks with the USA and European countries on the settlement of the conflict at the end of January. At the same time, Zelenskyy could not give an answer to the question whether it was possible to sign peace agreements without the condition of Ukraine's membership in NATO.
