Lawyer spoke about the conditions for retirement in 2025

To retire in 2025, according to the new changes, a certain value of the individual pension coefficient and insurance record will be needed. Professor Vadim Vinogradov, dean of the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, told the agency "Prime" on January 2.

"The individual pension coefficient (IPK) is calculated based on the amount of pension contributions paid, the length of employment history and the fact of postponing the start of the pension. In 2025, at least 30 IPK will be needed for retirement," he said.

The lawyer noted that the minimum length of service for retirement is 15 years, and various conditions are included in the calculation, from military service and maternity leave to sick leave. For representatives of certain social categories or workers in certain industries there are special conditions for retirement, they can do it early. However, the requirements for length of service and the value of the CPI still apply even for certain categories.

"Mothers with many children in 2025 can also retire earlier than other women. If a woman gives birth to three children, she will be able to retire at age 57, four children - at age 56, five or more children - at age 50. In this case, she will need an accumulated insurance record of at least 15 years and the corresponding CPI," - said the lawyer.

Vinogradov pointed out that early retirement is available to workers of harmful and hazardous industries - women at 45, and men at 50 years. In this case, the total length of service should be at least 15 and 20 years respectively, and the length of service in hazardous production - at least 7.5 and 10 years respectively.

If the length of service is not sufficient for a full retirement, voluntary insurance offers are available. It is also possible to continue working or apply for a social pension.

December 28, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov said that insurance pensions for working and non-working pensioners will be indexed by 7.3% from January 1, 2025, also in February they will be increased to the level of actual inflation. It was noted that additional indexation of pensions will affect about 37 million people.

November 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for 2025-2027, according to which the social pension will be indexed by 14.75%. After indexation, its amount from April 1, 2025 will be 15,456 rubles. In addition, insurance pensions will be increased by 7.3% on January 1, 2025.
