Kim Jong-un wished Putin and all Russians a Happy New Year


North Korean President Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin and also wished a Happy New Year to all Russians and members of the Russian Armed Forces (AF). The Korean Central Telegraphic Agency(KCTAK) reported on December 31.
"Kim Jong-un, warmly congratulating Putin, his closest friend and comrade on New Year's Day, sent warm congratulations to the brotherly Russian people and all soldiers and officers of the armed forces of the republic on behalf of himself, the Korean people and all soldiers and officers of the armed forces of the republic," the publication said.
In addition, Kim Jong-un expressed his readiness to design and promote new works to accomplish the cause of building the power of both countries, as well as for the tranquility and prosperity of the peoples of Russia and the DPRK, for greater strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries.
He also wished that 2025 would be a year of victory for Russia, when "the army and people of Russia will defeat the neo-Nazis and achieve a great victory." In addition, Kim Jong-un wished Vladimir Putin even greater success in the activities of the leadership of the state, and the Russian people - prosperity, welfare and happiness.
On the eve of the Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the leaders of a number of countries on Christmas and the coming New Year. He sent warm words to Presidents Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus), Kasym-Jomart Tokayev (Kazakhstan), Sadyr Zhaparov (Kyrgyzstan), Alan Gagloev (South Ossetia), Luis Alberto Arce (Bolivia). Putin also congratulated Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Brazil), Nicolas Maduro (Venezuela), Xi Jinping (China), Kim Jong-un (North Korea) and many other heads of state.
Of the European leaders, Putin congratulated only Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Later, the Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, added that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo also received a congratulatory telegram from the Russian president.
