In the Leningrad region, teenagers put out the "Eternal Flame" with snow


In the Leningrad region in the town of Kingisepp two teenagers put out with snow the gas burner of the "Eternal Flame" at the memorial "Grove of Five Hundred". About it on December 30 "Izvestia" reported a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the district.
According to the agency, on December 28, in the administration of Kingisepp district complained that between about 15:50 and 16:00 at the memorial "Grove of Five Hundred" stopped burning "Eternal Flame". Through review of the City Monitoring Center cameras, it was determined that the cause of the Eternal Flame stoppage was two children fleeing the scene.
The gas service restored the burning of the fire in the evening of the same day.
On Dec. 29, State Highway Patrol officers detained two fourth and fifth grade students. The alleged perpetrators were interviewed and turned over to their parents. The results of the interview were forwarded to the juvenile affairs commission.
The incident was reported to the city prosecutor's office.
