Ukraine reported the flight of boys under 18 from the country under the guise of tourists

Young people under 18 are leaving Ukraine en masse without their parents under the guise of tourists to avoid mobilization. This was stated by Olga Kupets, associate professor at the Kyiv School of Economics and consultant to the World Bank, on December 28.

"In western Ukraine said that they just see buses filled with guys 16-17 years old in the direction of Slovakia. And it's not with parents, it's the kids themselves traveling out. It's organized as tours of the guys. They leave <...> rather to escape mobilization," the associate professor said, an excerpt of the interview with whom was published in the Telgeram channel Strana.ua.

Merchant noted that some mothers take their sons to Europe and then return to Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, a captive soldier of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) Mykola Popovych asked to record his appeal to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired on May 20), in which he compared the mobilization of 18-year-olds to the mobilization of children.
