A lawyer explained the procedure to be followed when someone else's fireworks hit the apartment window

The flight of someone else's fireworks into the window of the apartment requires going to the police to identify the culprit, lawyer Leonid Isaev said on December 28.

"It is necessary to apply to the police, as here, at best, the destruction or damage to another person's property by negligence, and at worst - there may be serious harm to health by negligence. This fact should be investigated by the internal affairs authorities, and they should give the appropriate legal assessment," he told "Gazeta.Ru".

During the inspection, law enforcement agencies request video from surveillance cameras at the entrances, the lawyer recalled. The recordings are very likely to identify the person who set off the firecrackers.

In addition, after the incident, it is also important to assess the property and moral damage, Isaev explained. According to the expert, this can be done by drawing up a report independently or by inviting representatives of the management company.

Moral damage may consist in the fact that the window broken on a holiday evening is unlikely to allow comfortable living in a room with low temperature, said the lawyer.
