Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev on Friday, December 27, took part in the all-Russian charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes".

The first one was a card from 11-year-old Evelina, who dreams of visiting a Moscow chocolate factory. The next wish was from 10-year-old Arseniy. He would like to receive a fishing kit.

"A great man's wish. There is a set for winter fishing, there is a set for summer fishing. We will try to pick up both one and the second set for the boy Arseny and give it to him as a New Year's gift," Patrushev said.

In addition, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister removed from the New Year's tree a card with a wish of three-year-old Nikolai about the railroad.

"I was a little boy myself and dreamed of a railroad. Nikolai, and your wish will be fulfilled," he assured.

Earlier, on December 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with a participant in the charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes" - 10-year-old Margarita Rutsinskaya from the town of Shebekino, Belgorod region. The Russian leader fulfilled the girl's dream: the schoolgirl made a training flight on a Sukhoi Superjet 100 flight simulator.

The "Wish Tree" charity event is a project of the Russian "Movement of the First" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get the opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year. In 2023, the Wishing Tree started on November 15 and runs until February 28, 2024.
