Not only "The Nutcracker" of the Bolshoi Theater is alive in cultural Moscow. "Izvestia" selected the most intriguing events of the holidays, and although for many tickets to get almost impossible, it still makes sense to leave room for a miracle. Some events will start in a few days, Izvestia will get to know them personally and tell about their pros and cons.
Kremlin Christmas Tree New Year's Journey to the Polar Region 6+
The main Christmas tree of the country will be held on the stage of the Grand Hall of the State Kremlin Palace. The best scriptwriters and directors have prepared a performance "New Year's Journey to the Polar Region" for the guests of the holiday. The audience will see a multimedia musical and plunge into raus-programs with fairy-tale heroes and circus artists, visit the carnival of toys. More than 200 thousand people will attend 36 sessions of the Christmas tree.
Traditionally, an interactive program will be held before the fairy tale. In the foyer will unfold "City of Masters", where you can get recipes for good mood, as well as three stations with a circus show and an art salon with artistic makeup, photo zones with installations in the form of toys of different years. The participants will enjoy dance master classes, games with rosta dolls and characters from children's fairy tales, a thematic carnival, performances by musical groups, New Year greetings from Santa Claus and Snegurochka.
300 professionals worked on the magic show: directors, designers, artists, musicians, choreographers and actors. And the idea of the script was chosen in a creative competition, in which authors from all over the country participated.

A New Year's performance performed by dancers of the Kremlin Ballet Theater. People's Artist of Russia Andris Liepa was the choreographer-director. A variety of quizzes, contests and photo zones await the young guests in the foyer of the Kremlin Palace. Each of the children will be able to take part in an exciting quest and help Santa Claus and Snegurochka, and at the same time create a magical New Year's toy with their own hands. The culmination of the holiday will be the ballet "The Nutcracker" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. At the end of the holiday the children will receive sweet gifts in the form of a Nutcracker doll.

Moscow will once again host a New Year's show for the whole family "Uncle Stepa. They say: under the New Year..." based on one of the most famous works by Sergei Mikhalkov.
The story for the whole family about the adventures of Uncle Stepa by writer Sergei Mikhalkov, which is already beloved by many, will become even more colorful and large-scale this year. The authors of the idea for the show were the writer's granddaughters Anna and Nadia Mikhalkov. This year the poem "Uncle Stepa the Policeman" celebrates its 70th anniversary.
The production involves more than 40 actors, including circus and musical artists, as well as a dance show-ballet, stuntmen and acrobats. Thesets for the 15 scenes, which change over the course of the action, will take the audience through the main action locations of the story. The show will include video and multimedia accompaniment, and the visual dominant scene will be a prototype of a high-rise house (20 meters high), on the surface of which a video projection will be performed.

The main film studio of the country completes the celebration of the centennial anniversary with a large-scale New Year's performance for children and adults, which this time will occupy two Mosfilm pavilions at once. In one of them they filmed "Spring", "War and Peace", TV show "Blue Light", and now they are holding the award ceremony of the movie award "Golden Eagle". A comfortable auditorium will be built there. And in the adjacent pavilion will create a Christmas movie village with an exhibition of rare props and costumes from domestic film stories, Santa Claus mail, all kinds of workshops and a rich animation program.
The authors of the production put the main winter wizard - Ded Moroz and his team - in the center of the exciting plot. The performance will feature special effects: laser graphics, heavy smoke, pneumatic fireworks, large-scale LED screens, as well as the only in Russia system of individual positioning of sound in the hall. Preparations for the holiday are in full swing: sets are being built, costumes are being sewn, orchestral music is being recorded, makeup tests and first rehearsals are taking place.
Traditionally, in the project "Kinoelka at Mosfilm" take part stars of Russian cinema and television: Honored Artist of Russia actor Stanislav Duzhnikov, well known to the family audience for the sitcom "Voroniny", and TV presenter Dmitry Khrustalev. The actors will take part in video episodes, which the audience will see on large LED screens, inscribed in the set of the play.
In addition to the show itself, filled with quotes from the films and interesting facts about the history of cinema, the audience will see an exhibition of film awards "Mosfilm", including Oscar statuettes, an exhibition of vintage movie cameras and rare weapons, original costumes of Gaidaev's trio, a photo exhibition from the filming of Mosfilm pictures, installations based on famous films, as well as take part in a quiz dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the film concern.

The world premiere of the musical "The Last Fairy Tale" on the big stage of the MDM Theater in early December. The production of "The Last Tale" was overseen by the theater agency "Broadway Moscow" under the direction of producer Dmitry Bogachev, thanks to whom Russian audiences have become acquainted with the world classics of the musical - from "The Phantom of the Opera" to "Chicago", from "Chess" to Mamma Mia.
The musical will take the audience to the East, to the magical world familiar to us from the fairy tales of Scheherazade. The story that will be presented at MDM is also a fairy tale, and for adults. Oriental flavor in the musical is created by unusual scenery by Maxim Obrezkov, luxurious costumes and the hit song Şıkıdım by the Turkish pop star Tarkan. The music for the musical was written by Evgeny Zagot.

On the way they meet obstacles, which the characters together with the kids solve with the help of knowledge - math, physics and even programming. And they also go on a fascinating journey through ancient Greece. All this together with dancing, songs and a costume performance.
