City services of Moscow during the New Year and Christmas holidays will work in a reinforced mode. This was announced on December 26 by Deputy Mayor for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.

According to him, from December 29 to January 8 provides for round-the-clock duty of responsible persons, operational and repair personnel.

"We will take all necessary measures to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the capital's life support systems," Biryukov is quoted by the Moscow city news agency .

Special control of compliance with fire safety measures will be established on the objects of residential and non-residential fund. Almost 1.5 thousand personnel of fire and rescue units, emergency recovery teams of engineering companies and prefectures of administrative districts will be brought to a state of high readiness, reports "Moscow 24".

Specialists will strengthen control of compliance with fire safety measures and antiterrorist protection of engineering and communal and fuel and energy infrastructure, as well as the work of power grid facilities.
